Business Development and Interim Management Sales for FMD® Möbel GmbH

Our client: FMD® Möbel GmbH – a company of the HORSTMANNGROUP – emerged from the Flötotto Möbelwerke Dissen. The specialist for dismantled, cardboard-packed take-away furniture has successfully established itself on national and international markets since 1979. Leading furniture stores, self-service / JUWO – markets, mail order, DIY stores, food retailers and e-commerce companies are among the customers.

The goal: FMD® is successful in brick-and-mortar retail – online retail capabilities were in their infancy in 2019. In order to tap further growth potential, the e-commerce area should be expanded. First, Ms. Nitz took over the project assignment for business development, and six months later, as interim manager, she assumed complete responsibility for the entire sales department.
Our approach: Customers in online retail have different priorities than those in brick-and-mortar retail: digital connectivity, fast data transfer, shipping channels and packaging play a decisive role. Ms. Nitz has systematically developed and expanded this business area for FMD®. As Interim Manager Sales Management, she strategically reorganized the entire sales department, defined new sales structures and provides an essential communication interface to customers.
The result: At a time of pandemic, when a strong shift towards e-commerce is taking place and delivery problems in the furniture industry determine everyday life, Ms. Nitz has succeeded in establishing new structures in sales in a very solution-oriented and consistent manner. As a member of the management team, she contributes to the growth of FMD® with new sales concepts and solutions.
